CHALLENGES:
Create additional meeting space and housing for sorority that had outgrown its existing structure. Manage limited site size and a compressed construction schedule (work to be completed between the end of spring and start of fall semesters).
SOLUTIONS:
Added 2,300 square feet by building up instead of out. Removed the roof above an existing chapter meeting room. Installed structural supports and constructed a new third floor, including six new residential rooms and two restrooms. Interior and exterior materials were selected to match the existing building.
